About the project
Reelizations is the new youth media program launched by the East River Development Alliance (ERDA), a non-profit organization based in Western Queens working to improve the lives of New York City Public Housing (NYCHA) residents. Reelizations creatively engages young people living in Western Queens public housing projects, equipping them with real-world video production skills to develop their own personal narratives around the issues faced by their communities.

Challenge
With only a small amount of time, we needed to harness the power of design & design strategy to help ERDA reach new people and keep them involved. The goal of our project was to offer tools and strategies for Reelizations to reposition itself to engage more students and receive additional financial support from potential funders.

Solution
We provided Reelizations with a Strategy Manual compiling:
1) Global vision of Reelizations: How to establish specific goals and the necessaries tools to achieve them
2) Branding: logo and visual identity
3) Tools and strategies to improve Financing, Recruitment and Curriculum areas
4) “Out of the box” event: Reel Eyes Pop-Up Film Fest model
